DESCRIPTION:
For a few years, I worked at Priority Records. I was in charge of mastering CDs, specifically CDs put out by Swedish Egil's "Groove Radio" and "egil_music" imprints.

For two of Egil's mix CDs, "House" and "Elektronik", I created short megamixes. I used the exact same songs and remixes that Egil used in his full-length DJ mixes, but I re-edited and megamixed all of the tracks into a shorter format. These were used, annoyingly, as soundtracks to VHS promo tapes of Egil DJing. Sure, he had done the full-length DJ mix CDs, but the soundtrack to the footage of him DJing was actually *my* remix. This specific detail of how the megamixes would be used was conveniently left out when I was commissioned to do the megamixes. By the time I had finished the second megamix for "Elektronik", and seen how the mixes were used, I stopped doing any further mixes.

As this mix only ever appeared on a rather hard to find VHS promo tape, almost nobody actually got to hear my megamix...until now!
