TRACK:
Depeche Mode - "World Full Of Nothing" (BRAT Mix)
When I saw Depeche Mode play the Irvine Meadows Amphitheater in 1994, there was one performance that really got my attention: I Want You Now.
Learning later on that Alan Wilder essentially remixed the track for the tour, I was blown away with how cool the song sounded with the extra production and beats. When I got home from the concert, I started playing around with quiet Depeche Mode tracks, seeing which would sound good with some added beats. Enter "World Full Of Nothing"...
This is a remix I did back in 1994, just for me. Well, it did get played on KROQ once or twice, but I just wanted to have some fun. It is simply the album version of the song, highly re-edited (note "verse 3"), with a beat overlayed. Simple, but cool.
Other than people who might have heard this once or twice on KROQ, or when I DJ'd a Depeche Mode convention, this has been rotting away on a DAT tape since 1994...until now.
Enjoy.
Disclaimer: This is not an official mix. This is not approved by Depeche Mode. I was a fan. I made a mix. Simple as that.
