DESCRIPTION:
I have a lot of multitracks. Many times, I listen to the separate tracks, and just think to myself "Yeah, that is cool." Other times, individual elements that were buried in the original finished mix just scream out at you.
The strings in "The Killing Jar" screamed at me.
I have reduced the original song down to just strings, bass and Siouxsie Sioux's vocals. Aside from some effects and some slight edits here and there, this is a straight pass.
It's lovely.
I want to hear an entire "Greatest Hits" collection of just stripped down Siouxsie songs!
As this is only the third "deconstruction" I have uploaded, I (again) feel that I need to explain (again) that this is not a dance remix. This is not a floor filler. This is simply me having a bit of fun with the existing tracks, to make something a bit different. A bit minimal. A chance for me (and you) to hear things we never could quite hear before in the song.
Enjoy the deconstruction of "The Killing Jar", by Siouxsie & The Banshees.
