DESCRIPTION:
While going through a stack of free CDs, I came upon the Josh Wink album "Herehear". Letting it play while I was working, I stopped in my tracks when the song "Black Bomb (Jerry In The Bag)" came on. What!?! What the hell is this!?!

It was like someone put a Nine Inch Nails song in the middle of a Josh Wink album.

My immediate thought: Why haven't I heard this on KROQ. Turns out the answer was "we know about the song, but it's way too long for radio."

Did someone call for an editor?

I cut the hell out of the track, arguably making it a bit more listenable (it did kind of drag in bits). I ran down the street, and threw it at friends at KROQ.

While the edit did get some plays, it didn't generate enough listener interest to be playlisted. It's a shame, because I'm sure KROQ playlist placement would have helped the album sell more.

Rotting away on a DAT tape since 1998, here is my radio edit of "Black Bomb".
