I stopped doing holiday mixes a few years after my Mom died. My heart wasn't in it anymore. With 2020, I (as well as many of you) have been rendered emotionally numb from all the various events of the last twelve months (or, more broadly, four years). A holiday mix was definitely not part of my agenda, yet here we are.

One of my all-time favorite Christmas songs is "Back Door Santa" by Clarence Carter, and sampled by RUN D.M.C. in their song "Christmas In Hollis". I've always wanted to do something with these two songs, but technology limitations kept me from doing a mix. Now, thanks to some amazing software, I was able to create "usable" acapella tracks of both Clarence Carter, and RUN D.M.C.

I know 2020 has been a shitshow, but life has to get better...right? With that in mind, string up some lights, pour a cup of "holiday cheer", and blast the hell out of this mix. Escape reality for a few minutes.
