ORIGINAL DESCRIPTION (February 14th, 2005):
After a nice romantic weekend with the woman in San Diego, we were heading back to L.A. when I took a sidetrip to a fun little shop in Encinitas called "Lou's Records". They had something I've been searching for. Billy Joel SACDs!

This was a hard one to find a compatible song for. I finally pulled my Jay-Z 12", and found the keys and tempo were too similar to pass up. Plus, it gave me an excuse to make Billy Joel cuss in a rap style (see the second chorus). :)

NEW DESCRIPTION (October 11th, 2021):
For YEARS, I have wanted to re-do this mashup! From the vinyl sourced instrumental, to the "missed opportunity" reworking of Mr. Joel's ending vocals, this mashup always felt incomplete to me.

With a new source (promo CD) for Jay-Z, a re-rip of the Billy Joel SACD, and the acquisition of the Hossam Ramzy CD, I was set to give this mashup a revision. With a lot of Pro Tools hacks, and some Melodyne repitching, I give to you the 2021 revision of "Big Shot Pimpin'"!
