DESCRIPTION:
Oh man. Where do I start?

Previous experiments with The Smiths and Morrissey did not yield much in the way of usable results. This time, with some revised "stem separation" algorithms (note I did NOT say "A.I."), BAM! Not only did I get a clean Morrissey vocal track, but I was even able to put out Johnny Marr's guitar! Result!

Now, Harry Styles might not be the immediate idea for a companion track in a Smiths mashup, but I thought the horns and bassline sounded great with Moz's vocals and Johnny's guitar.

For the mashup video, I was initially stumped. The Smiths music video is not that great (yeah, I said it!), and while Harry's music video is funny, it didn't work for the mashup. The Top Of The Pops performance was much better, but it stops halfway though the song! Thanks to some creative editing, I filled the gaps. I also made acapella tracks for Janice Long and Simon Bates, to blend them over the mashup better. Finally, I matched the original font chyron from the BBC broadcast, and did some subtle editing of the title and chart number. :)

Harry / Smiths fans. Don't get mad at me. Remember, I am human and I need to be loved. Just like everybody else does. :)
